If you have existing data in spreadsheets or another system, we can help you import it. There is no lengthy IT deployment or server installation required — ProdGenius is entirely cloud-based and works in any web browser.

No. ProdGenius runs in the browser on any device — desktop, tablet, or phone. Operators can update job status from a shop floor tablet or their phone. There is no hardware to install and no software to maintain. If you want to integrate with CNC machines or IoT sensors for automatic data collection, that is available on the Enterprise plan.

ProdGenius is built for small to mid-size custom manufacturers: job shops, machine shops, fabrication shops, and contract manufacturers with 1 to 100+ machines. Our Starter plan supports shops with up to 5 machines, Growth supports up to 25, and Enterprise scales to unlimited machines across multiple sites.

Yes. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features in that tier. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial, you can choose a plan or your account will be paused (no data is deleted).

For many small and mid-size manufacturers, yes. ProdGenius covers quoting, order management, production scheduling, supplier management, quality control, and basic invoicing. If you are currently running your shop on spreadsheets, a whiteboard, or a legacy system you have outgrown, ProdGenius is a direct replacement. For larger shops that need deep financial accounting or HR modules, ProdGenius integrates with your existing ERP rather than replacing it.

The Enterprise plan includes integrations with popular manufacturing ERP systems including JobBOSS, E2 Shop System, Epicor, and SAP Business One. We also offer a REST API for custom integrations. If you are currently on one of these systems and want to migrate, our team can help with data migration.

Yes. The Growth and Enterprise plans include native integration with QuickBooks Online and Xero. When a job ships and an invoice is generated in ProdGenius, it automatically syncs to your accounting software. Customer records, invoice line items, and payment status stay in sync.

The scheduling board is a visual timeline showing every machine and the jobs assigned to it. You can drag and drop jobs between machines and time slots. ProdGenius checks for conflicts like double-booked machines, operator availability, and material readiness. When you add a rush job, AI suggests the least-disruptive way to rearrange the schedule to meet the new deadline without breaking existing commitments.

Yes. Operators can mark jobs as started, paused, or complete from any device. They can also log actual run times, record scrap counts, and flag issues. The dashboard updates in real time so the front office always knows what is happening on the floor without walking out to check.

Rush orders are a reality in job shops. When you need to insert a rush job, ProdGenius shows you exactly which existing jobs will be affected and by how much. It suggests the optimal rearrangement to accommodate the rush while minimizing delays on other work. You approve the change with one click, and affected customers are automatically notified of updated delivery dates.

Yes. The Enterprise plan includes a full quality management suite designed for AS9100, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 compliance. This includes document control, non-conformance reports with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) tracking, management review dashboards, and audit trail logging. All quality records are timestamped and immutable for audit purposes.

Yes. When a job passes final inspection, ProdGenius auto-generates a certificate of conformance that includes material certifications, inspection results, dimensional data, and compliance statements. You can customize the cert template with your company branding. Certs are automatically attached to the packing list and can be emailed to the customer with the shipment notification.

ProdGenius supports structured FAI reporting per AS9102 standards. You define the inspection plan with dimensional checks, GD&T callouts, and acceptance criteria. Inspectors record measurements directly in the system, and ProdGenius flags any out-of-tolerance dimensions. The completed FAI report can be exported as a PDF or shared directly with the customer through the status portal.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). ProdGenius runs on SOC 2-compliant infrastructure. Your data is isolated from other customers at the database level. We perform regular security audits and penetration testing. We never share your data with third parties or use it to train AI models.

Yes. You own your data. You can export all quotes, orders, job history, quality records, and customer information at any time in standard formats (CSV, JSON). If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days so you can export it, then permanently deleted.

ProdGenius is built on US-based infrastructure and does not transfer data internationally. For shops that require ITAR compliance or are working toward CMMC certification, our Enterprise plan includes additional access controls, audit logging, and data handling procedures. Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you are billed the prorated difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.

Yes. Annual billing saves 20% compared to monthly pricing. You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from your account settings.
